My family and I have been here several times with our daughter since she was 1 year old. (She's three now!)
Today, we celebrated my birthday here. I wanted somewhere local and low-key but still delicious. Since we have a toddler, I think it's hard to go to a fine dining restaurant where you have to be mindful of other people and dining etiquette. The ambience in this restaurant is cosy and lax but still おしゃれ. You don't have to worry too much about the noise if you have a fussy toddler. 😅 I love the tone-down neutral colours of the walls and architectural design too.
I also couldn't be happier with the food! I enjoyed the new flavours in every meal. Even though I've been here many times, I still get surprised with the flavours. 🥰 The plating is also fun and unique. I highly recommend the special course meal!
I love the pork (黒豚) because it was crispy outside but so soft inside. It's my second favourite! My number 1 is the foie gras! Besides the flavourful texture, it's compact so it's easy to eat even for my 3yo! I love that it has Tokyo written on it as well.
My husband who likes drinking is very satisfied with the free-flow option. It was easy for him to order and also he can try different types of alcohol. I don't drink much so I was happy with the plum cocktail they have. Next time I will try their dessert wine.
The desserts tickled my palate! Mochi chocolate, cheesecake, and nuts were sweet but not overly sweet! A perfect fit with their Houji tea. 😍
Plus, the chef gave me their signature chocolate as a birthday gift! 😂 Thank you, chef! Til next time! ❤️

Today, the surprisingly heavy dinner-rolls were served piping hot, only to reveal an ice-cold center. (both times). The Beef stew was bland and oddly crunchy. It too had the texture of having been frozen. The potato had that odd flavor of having been made a day in advance, at least. The risotto was dry and bland, while the fish on top was neither fresh nor textured. It was a very small portion. Perhaps this was better at one time, but the cook seems to have given up. It wasn't like he lacked customers where he needed to take shortcuts. Pity. The prominent display of star chef cookbooks, only reminded me of what we weren't served, and distracted from what we were.

Ordered the same course as the people next to me, the waiter serve them bread but didn’t give to me. And I noticed the chef sent out the Japanese customers out expect me (probably bcz I was eating alone or I’m a foreigner but I would like to have the same treatment)

Great restaurant. Staff speak good English. The food presentation and flavour are amazing. Recommended for European restaurant experience.

You can enjoy authentic French cuisine at an affordable price.
This is a store in my neighborhood that I've been interested in for a long time.
You might think it's just a shop because of its pure white house-like exterior, but the second floor is a cafe and the first floor is a French restaurant.
This is a French restaurant on the first floor (I only realized it after 2 years, even though I live 30 seconds walk away).
I first looked at the owner's Instagram before visiting, and I was drawn to the phrase a full course lunch that can be eaten in one hour, so I ordered Course C.
All of the dishes were seasoned to really bring out the deliciousness of the ingredients, and I felt happy from beginning to end.
The food was served at just the right time, and I was able to finish the course in about an hour, feeling like I had spent a lot of time relaxing.
Lunch costs just under 3,000 yen (Course C (there are 4 courses ranging from 1,500 yen to 5,000 yen)), which is naturally higher than other set meal restaurants around here. Is 3000 yen enough for business? ! 'I was so worried.
The amount is just enough to fill a woman's stomach (just before it gets too full, so you can enjoy it deliciously), and I think Course C or above is better for people who eat a lot on a regular basis.
I will be moving from Toyocho soon, but I regret that I should have visited earlier, so I would like to visit this store as soon as possible.
