The read bean mochis are so good! Make sure you request them to heat it up if you intend to eat it on the spot.

Simple.
good!
It was perfect as a souvenir.

You can get Aoiya's Yakimochi in the city without having to go all the way to the Torii gate of Kamigamo Shrine.

I've never seen such a thin type of fried rice cake outside of Kyoto. Mochi with anko in it is usually stuffed with as much anko as possible.

I have been eating it locally for a long time ☺️
It's exquisitely thin, so each piece isn't heavy, and the refreshing red bean paste is just right, making it so delicious that you'll want to eat several pieces.

I think the most difficult thing is to make something rustic and simple, but it has been loved by the locals for many years because of its timeless deliciousness. It's always nice to bring it as a souvenir 😌

Freshly made and piping hot? If you're looking for one, I think the other one is better. If anything, the emphasis here is on souvenirs lol
They are individually wrapped and are delicious even when cold.
