Fantastic Italian restaurant that disguises as a normal neighborhood. They are famous for cray pot chicken rice which as a interesting mix of Japanese and western tastes. Their grill and fried fish were amazing. They have a lot of seasonal menu that you will take forever to choose one from it! Highly recommended.

Trendy Italian restaurant. Came for dinner and had the 5000 JPY course. Food was flavorful and the course was delivered quite promptly. Actually, the speed of the course was ideal for me. The entree maybe came a tad bit too fast, but besides that all the other dishes came slightly after I was done with the previous one. The portions are good and definitely good cost for return considering the price. The pork rib was particularly good. The interior is nice and have that living room vibe that some of the Kagurazaka restaurants have. I sat on a counter seat, but it felt comfortable to me. I also like the open kitchen style. The selection of wine is also quite good.

It only looks like just a house but once you enter, you would feel a bit bizarre (in a good way). It’s fabulous atmosphere inside. Foods are gorgeous as well.

If you want to take someone to have the Kagurazaka experience, going between buildings into small passage, walking through pebble streets, a restaurant you wouldn’t have realized unless you’ve been there before...this is the place to go.
A relaxing hidden “home” with great Italian taste with an open kitchen downstairs. They also have a private room for small gathering and several tables upstairs for larger groups.

Hidden along a narrow cobblestone backroad of Kagurazaka in what looks like a private residence, Arbol is a cozy yet modern open-kitchen restaurant that is definitely worth a visit! The daily specials is only written in Japanese, but the main menu is available in English. Honestly, you don't need to speak Japanese to enjoy your meal here. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients (also with herbs that are grown in house in the rooftop garden?!) so I doubt you can wrong even if you randomly point at items on the menu. After 9, it's possible to be seated without a reservation, but make sure to have your table booked in advance for dinners before that.
