A Hidden Gem!!
A small restaurant in a small Japanese styled house with only three private rooms for at most three groups at once.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, and took care of every little detail precisely.
It was an omakase course based menu (you can’t choose the dishes), but it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Excellent fusion of Italian food and Japanese ingredients.
We had a delightful time even though we didn’t expect it at all.

Best experience!
Food was great, chef and auntie were so kind and warm. I even got free refills of their secret wines(not on the wine list) and amazing view of the sunset.

Our evening at Hayashigaoka was a highlight for our time in Japan. This hidden gem is located in a residential neighbourhood high above the main town of Atami, with exceptionally good food and service. Upon arrival, we were ushered into our private dining room, and experienced wonderful hospitality for 3 hours for our 12-course fixed-menu meal of Japanese-Italian fusion, with a good wine list. The dishes are small (12 courses!) and beautifully prepared, and the service is attentive, friendly, and unobstrusive. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good food, fine wine, and authenticity.

This is my first time coming to this Japanese-Italian restaurant located in a residential building on Atami Mountain.
Taking a taxi from Atami Station costs 860 yen. Some taxis here do not accept water cards and you must pay in cash. Please don't walk here because you have to go up a mountain. .
Super awesome! Every dish is delicious, and the staff is very polite. There are only three rooms. We were assigned to the room facing the sea, which has a beautiful view of the entire Atami.
Every dish is very delicious, although the price is not cheap, and I didn't see the chef when I left. But I think friends who love food must go to this Japanese-Italian restaurant when they come to Yitai.
