My first sukiyaki experience, and it was absolutely phenomenal! I highly recommend arriving at this restaurant an hour before they open. As a solo traveler, I was 4th in line and got seated immediately when they opened. Once you walk in, you're escorted to a private elevator that takes you to the second floor. I noticed some guests enjoying traditional Japanese seating, but I was perfectly fine without that experience. I opted for the lunch set, which was significantly more affordable than the option offered at dinner. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Happy eating! 😋

I arrived at 11 AM and didn’t get a table until around 12:40 PM so you should expect a long wait. The staff doesn’t speak much English, but they do have an English menu. The food is good, though we had to order extra meat for two people. The lunch set is a good value and we ended up paying around $150 for 2 people.

Not bad for our first time at a sukiyaki place.
we were almost rejected as we walked in at 7.30pm and it was quite full but the couple before us left so we managed to get in. Best to make reservation before going, as there is no guarantee seating especially after 7pm, last order is at 8.30pm before closing at 9.30pm.
Food took quite awhile (around 20min) to be served. Our server only cooked the first round of meat for us before letting us cook ourselves, we would prefer the waitress in yukata to cook like other tables so we can have the full experience. We got a free pen and tissue as souvenir. Overall service attitude was fine.

Restaurant was quite noisy as it was pretty packed with families and children, quite stuffy since there’s a lot of cooking and fumes involved.

Food was amazing, interesting appetizer, beef was so tender and melt in your mouth, sauce super flavorful and the raw egg was good too.

would recommend to try if you never try sukiyaki before

Look no further, one of the best sukiyaki restaurants in Tokyo.

So far, I had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant twice, and I can say that I was more than impressed each time with the quality of the food and service.

Don't waste your time, and just order the sukiyaki lunch special gozen at Asakusa Imahan for ¥4950 (each person). The quality of the meat is top-notch and marbled to perfection. The waiter will set everything up and show you how to cook the first piece, then let you handle the rest.

The meal itself is more than enough, but if you are really hungry and you are the first 20 to get it, you can order some of the beef bowl specials they have for lunch only.

Overall you would suggest to arrive at least 30-40 minutes before opening to be the first batch to be seated but don't get frustrated if you are in the alternate second line on the opposite of the building because the restaurant is multiple floors so they can accommodate quite a few parties.

I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants the best of the best sukiyaki restaurants around.

Saw a queue outside and decided to try it out. This was such a great find! The service here was impeccable. It was such a great experience. Staff were dressed in kimonos and went about doing everything with such grace. The beef bowl was excellent and the sukiyaki experience overall was unforgettable. One of the few places worth queuing up for.
