Baknos Akasaka Review Summary

We absolutely loved the food, service and atmosphere. We made a lunch reservation, and when we arrived we were immediately met at the door and guided to our seats. The setting is very nice and elegant. We were provided with a menu in Japanese and water. The menu is limited and focused, which I liked. We used a translation app to read the menu, and ordered. The chef and staff person had limited English, but it did not create a problem even though we have extreme limited Japanese. We not only ordered, but also effectively communicated our preference regarding how done we wanted our meet. He used a translate program to communicate at times, although he was able to easily describe the cut of Wagyu we were going to enjoy. We were able to watch the chef prepare our main as we ate a salad. The presentation of the main was presented beautifully, was delicious, and perfect portion sizes. We also had a very nice glass of Italian wine. For dessert we were given a nice ice cream. It was our top food experience of our three week Japanese trip. We are returning to Japan in six months, and I’ll be eating here again.

The food was superb, So glad I went for a bigger portion of beef, and paid extra. Every morsel was worth it. We went back for a second time during our 7 day stay. Lunch was really excellent value, the chef was friendly and the ambience was great! Highly recommend.

One of the best Teppanyaki experiences I’ve had in Japan so far. The high quality ingredients pair perfectly with the way that they are prepared. The highlight of course was a big cut of A5 Wagyu which I will probably never forget. Highly recommend this place.
