Went here for lunch and the pasta was great, especially for Japan. You find a lot of basic spaghetti at cafes and restaurants, so finding handmade pasta was great. The price seemed a little steep at first, but the lunch set (around 1500 yen) came with pasta, bread, and a coffee or tea. Not bad at all. Again, the pasta was great, and my husband and I were really pleasantly surprised to find such a gem hidden away in the back streets. We went there on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy - might be worthwhile either arriving early or making a reservation! We shared the pasta we ordered (and the staff very kindly played it up separately for us), which is why the servings look small in the photos!

The food was okay but the service wasn't. It was really terrible, felt so embarrassed about the Japanese staff man. He was not pleasant from the first but it was acceptable, but the most embarrassing thing was he gave us the bills for total four dishes, even though we ordered only two pasta dishes. Moreover, the coffee and bread were included in lunch set menu, but they made it to put in the bills. When we asked about the bill, he gave us the bill which is written twice more than what we ordered. Anyway we paid first and then checked the receipt then we claimed and then got back. I was really uncomfortable because I felt like he did such things on purpose, not by accident.

Firstly, I find this to be a restaurant that's quite challenging to book, and it often takes breaks. I finally succeeded in making a reservation on my third attempt. It's not bad, but it's definitely not delicious enough to make me come for a second time.

I had a pleasant lunch at Alimentari Daniela. The did tastes great and the coffee I got with it was of high quality. The only downside to my visit was the size of the meals which was (not because of my usual giant appetite, but my company agreed) sparse. I got one small chicken thigh for 1300 yen. The taste was good, though.

Pretty legit Italian. I was very surprised to find a restaurant like this in Japan. Of course it's not quite like Italy but the pasta is handmade and the menu has a good balance of antipasti, pasta and mains. You pay a bit more for it but if you've been in Japan for a while and just want a good Italian meal, this is the place to go.
