My husband and I went bar hopping around ike for the first time, and came across bar base. The bartender was great there, reserved but very friendly and knowledgeable and he recommended we head over to this bar. The two women that run it are very sweet and can make a great drink if you give them a description of what you’re craving. They can’t speak English, so bring a Japanese friend or google translate: they’ll ask you to leave your bags over on the bench and take your coat ;] then give you hand sanitizer and make you’re drink
The customers and staff are all very comfortable and the “otoshi” (paid bar snacks?) were a delicious nut mix and German stollen bread 🥹

First visit to BAR Too in Ikebukuro. It was about a 15-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, and I had never been to a place like this before when I finally arrived.
I was worried that the store my navigation was pointing to didn't have a signboard, but when I opened the door, I realized it was BAR Too.
I guess it's a hidden bar. There may be many regular customers. By the way, this restaurant doesn't have a menu, so at first you'll be asked to order whatever you like. As someone who doesn't know much about alcohol, I was quite confused.
We made a cocktail using strawberries and grapes. This is also delicious, isn't it? We had a wonderful time drinking snacks and snacking on nuts and cheese.
