Batten Ramen Review Summary

Batten Ramen is a place our family visited 7 years ago for food and gyoza.

This time round, we dropped by again for lunch, but uncle informed us initially that gyoza, the shop's signature dish was sold out for today. Out of no choice had fried rice and ramen cooked by the 84-year old owner.

Uncle was very nice, knowing that we came all the way from Singapore, he actually decided to take our order to specially make 2 sets of gyoza for us.

This home cooked food was very tasty and delicious, as simple as it may be, it was freshly cooked with love and affection. Uncle was very happy when I told him we visited his place 7 years ago. After trying out, the gyoza was really delicious and tasty!

His impeccable service was the icing to the topping. We just hope he can stay strong and be there the next time we visit him...

The owners, granddad and grandmother now, are excellent people. I've been going here for 9 years and we have many fond memories. The hand made gyouza and the tonkotsu ramen make a great dinner.
