Really good curry. The atmosphere was serene. Funny thing is as soon as we entered they thought we had come looking for bengali food. So they apologised and said that they don't serve bengali food and only the name is Bengal restaurant. We literally had a good laugh. Indeed we are bengalees, but we had not gone for bengali good. I had already done my homework and I knew the place is famous for good japanese curry. However when I actually had the food I just couldn't stop thinking of mom's cooked food back at home. I don't know the history behind the name but the curry indeed is a lot similar to our own curry back home in Bengal. I think the spices especially, garam masala, does the trick. Anyway, had a lovely time and great food. Will definitely go back in future

this restaurant is a very special one to me for a reason. i have some very sweet and some painful memories associated with it. I was introduced here through her at our 2nd dine in. That was one of the days for our celebration about something. Sigh! Not just this restaurant, everything, just everything remains the same as before, just she is missing ððð
Anyway, it is still one of the mysteries to me about why the restaurant has a Bengali name including some Bengali recipes. Other than these, All the staff and every other thing is Japanese.
And the taste of food, it is still in position one comparing all other restaurants i've tried out till now.
