Legit Katsu-ura style spicy mala tantanmen that can be enjoyed in Tokyo instead of going all the way to Chiba's namesake location. The numbing mala spice with the abundant accent of diced onions, garlic chives, and minced meat is perfectly balanced in the velvety red broth. A bowl that will definitely be craved once tried. You can also add a side set of white rice and raw egg which you can enjoy with the ramen and also help mellow out the spiciness if the broth proves too hot. Tight cozy interior with a few counter seats and one table seat. Ordering is done upfront at the ticketing machine that only accepts cash. Super nice lady will look after you and make sure your glass of water stays full - you will need to hydrate a lot. Will definitely visit again and a must-go if you're in the West Tokyo area!

Second attempt trying Bingiri but this time it was open!
Arrived 13:30 on Monday and no queue, one patron eating in store. Really surprised but in a good way. 10 minutes later store was full, though not many seats, and a few lining up.

Ordered their specialty katsu-ura tantamen and a tamago.
Hype was real if you like spicy this is a must try. Do note, there's not just spicy for spicyness because there's so much flavor here also.
Egg was perfectly creamy and larger than normal.
Some lost in translation but later I understood rice was included.
    Top 5 tantamen I had!

The specialty here is katsu-ura tantanmen, which is a bowl of noodles topped with a mess of onions, scallions, ground pork, bamboo shoots, and of course fiery-looking spicy broth. A tasty bowl of noodles, but even their spiciest tantanmen lacks the numbing-fiery punch that can be found elsewhere in Tokyo.

    Katsuura Tantan noodles 900 yen
    ・Seasoned eggs 150 yen

    【soup】
It's so oily that I thought I was just drinking chili oil 🤯 The spiciness and numbness were quite amazing, and at the first sip I thought, ``Ah, it's delicious,'' but after that, my mouth was numb to the max from the Japanese pepper, so I put something even slightly warm into my mouth. If so, the taste is like a scorching hell 🥵 Maybe it was a little too spicy for me 😅

    【noodles】
There are quite a few types of hard curly noodles😍

Since it's tantan noodles, it naturally contains minced meat as the main ingredient, but there are also more onions 🧅

Not being able to choose the level of spiciness and numbing is pretty big 🥲 I wanted to continue eating the flavor I felt from the first bite, but the numbness just made me think it was spicy 😓 It's nice to have colander 🥴

Katsuura tantan noodles (small) topped with flavored egg.
This amount may be just right for women who can't eat much. I was a little nervous when ordering, thinking that the (small) might be for people who want to enjoy both ramen and tantan noodles, but I was relieved when they accepted my meal ticket with a smile.
I'm good at spicy food, so I didn't find it as spicy as other people have said. At first, the onions were crunchy, but towards the end, they blended into the soup and became soft and spicy, and it was nice to be able to enjoy the change over time. I would like to try the tantan noodles without soup someday.
