Bistro Nid Review Summary

I came for lunch and it was great. The meal was 1800¥. They had a nice looking soup but I didn’t order it since I wasn’t sure how big the meal would be.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the staff were friendly. Will try and come again for dinner next time.

While they obviously try hard (presentation is beautiful) the result is very mediocre. We would rate each of the 7 or 8 courses of the set menu between a 3 and a 4 (on a scale from 1-10). Very unpleasant is that they add an (unannounced) 10% service charge to the bill at the end. That is completely inappropriate. Definitely a one time experience for us.

Super fancy ambience and definitely awesome food!

I had wanted to go for a long time and was able to go.
It was my first time around Toritsu-Daigaku Station, and the store was easy to find as it faced the main street.
There is a kitchen and a small counter on the first floor.
We were shown to a table seat on the second floor.
The atmosphere was calm and nice.

The dishes were interesting and enjoyable, with innovative combinations of ingredients.
What particularly impressed me was the main dish, roasted Ezo deer.
I was very impressed with the apple sauce and the way the meat was cooked.
The service lady was also friendly and gave detailed explanations that I was satisfied with.
I don't drink much natural wine, but all of them were delicious.
Another thing that was impressive was the soft drink menu.
All of the content was fascinating, and I thought that even people who don't drink alcohol would definitely enjoy it.
The cost performance was also good, and I plan to visit again every season.
