Bistro Tosakaba Take Review Summary

Love this lunch spot - great sets for lunch value for money. Good omelet rice and Japanese curry rice. Fav spot for the locals salary men. Great dining vibe.

Little bistro with great quality/price.
The lunch set was 1000 yen and we were quite full. The vegetable curry was delicious, the tomato Bolognese pasta though was quite watery and bland. My kid liked it though. The staff were friendly and accommodating even if we had a pram.
We arrived at around 11:30 and were seated right away but the place got full quickly!

Lunch meal options are all 1000 yen. You get rice with chicken/pork/shrimp/veg + bowl of curry, plus a small soup and a drink. Some noodle set options are also available. Cosy atmosphere. Looks small but there are 4seat tables at the back. Staff is friendly, service is quick. Recommended for a quick lunch if you're nearby.

The tomato, the pork cutlet, and the chicken thigh are all great. The yakitori is generally good, as is the sake selection. It's a bit pricey, but if you want a nice quiet venue for dinner and conversation, it's quite good.

Zero social distance. They make strangers eat touching elbows each other, without any minimal plastic separation.
Food is ok, but the above point is a deal breaker for the time being.
