Bistro U Review Summary

We have been in Japan for 5 weeks and some of this time spent in Tokyo. Our Hotel was near Suidobashi station and so close to Bistro U. We have been there 4 times. Uta and the Cook do a great job. Very good food , best than average wine and fair price. It is appreciated by locals. Always full. Reservation is a good idea

Good value workday lunch in the neighborhood. Servings are generous and pretty tasty, but try to come early as there is usually a lunch wait. Expect to pay ¥1000 for any of their lunch plates, the cordon bleu and pork roast options are delicious!

The food is good with friendly staff. The price is a bit high for what the restaurant offers. The restaurant offers mainly western food adapted to Japanese tastes. They offer a relatively wide number of wines mainly from France or Chile. It is located in the hearth of Iidabashi, not far from the JR west exit of Iidabashi station.

The lunch was very delicious and the staff were efficient, but when I moved my half-finished soup, it was immediately taken down without me saying anything, so I couldn't finish half of the soup I wanted to drink slowly. I think it was probably a mistake because I was in too much of a hurry, so I'll go back and check.
If it wasn't for that, all the restaurants would be 4 stars, and it's so sad that the soup was half-baked.

I went for lunch on a weekday. This is a semi-underground store. It's close to the station so it's easy to access.

More than 10 people before opening? I was surprised to see them lined up. It's a popular store after all.

Lunch is an easy-to-understand menu with all items priced at 1,200 yen. I ordered the recommended part of the pork, and it was filling and delicious!
Although the portion was perfect, both the sauce and the accompanying salad were delicious, and I ate it easily.

There were many people around me ordering salad lunches.
Isn't it a good deal that this comes with a drink and soup?

I want to go again!
