We came twice, that’s how much we loved the katsu curry and the ladies at Cafe Tyrol. One of the best meals we’ve had in our 5 week tour of Japan in terms of portion size, quality of food, and cost! Definitely authentic, huge portions, and far away from the icky touristy “wagyu” katsu in the center.
Met a most wonderful local who said this is his favourite katsu in Japan because it’s made with love. I must agree. Now having been to many “cafes” that charge double the price for a quarter of the care, I wish we could go back just once more!

A great little spot to enjoy a bite in an old style cafe. Their coffee is strong, their egg sandwiches are filling, and their curry is pretty darn good. They could be solely a curry shop if they wanted to with how tasty it was. There was a bit of a wait to get seated but service was fast and well worth the wait.

One of few places around this area open from 8am. Like most cafés offering meals, they have curry and pasta dishes. Their prices are reasonable and so is their coffee, really enjoyed their Napolitan pasta (pasta adjusted to Japanese tastes). I definitely recommend the egg toast.
