Big original Iron Chef fan, and had to pay respects to Chef Kenichi, who sadly passed away recently. The mapo tofu is surprisingly flavorful even at medium spice levels and you can tell they are proud of this specialty. A nice affordable alternative to his main branch restaurant.

I went to Fukagawa Gathalia for lunch around 2pm on Friday.

I decided to have it at Chen Kenichi Mapo Tofu Shop.
Customers come into the store one after another.
At the entrance, I was told that the last order was at 2:30 pm and the last order was until 3:00 pm, and I was shown to a table.
    Order at a seat.
After looking at the menu, I decided on Kenichi Chen's Mapo Tofu Set, which I highly recommend, for 1,350 yen.
Free refills of rice and soup.
You can choose the spiciness. Because I was asked
I ordered it because it said it was recommended for spiciness.
It was brought to me about 5 minutes later.
If you try it right away, it's just the right amount of spiciness.
    Tofu is not falling apart
Plenty of flavor from the ground meat, bean sauce, and more. The food ran out in no time. I asked for a large refill. If you add some fragrant Japanese pepper along the way,
I was able to enjoy a totally different taste.
    Thank you for the meal.

Kenichi Chen's mapo tofu shop has been popular for its taste that hasn't changed since Gathalia opened next to Kiba Yokado. It's really delicious and I keep eating it. There are many other delicious mapo tofu restaurants, but I always come back here. If you want to eat slowly and hot at a restaurant, choose B spicy! When ordering takeout, be sure to order A for extra spiciness! As always, add the fragrant Japanese pepper spice to the familiar mapo tofu and mix it slowly without breaking the tofu. Mabo was in a hurry and didn't eat the whole thing, so I left some of the rice and had half a second helping of rice! There are no complaints about the soup and zha cai. I think this is a representative restaurant in Kiba where you can eat exquisite mapo tofu!
