Japanese sweets made without preservatives, the old-fashioned way. If you ever wondered what type of dessert they ate in Japan back in the Edo period, this is the place to go to find out. The shop has been in business for over three centuries!

I bought a box of chikaramochi made with red bean paste on a blob of mochi. It was tasty and perfect with a cup of green tea. To be honest though, for my westernized palate, I would have preferred something a little sweeter.

A welcoming and friendly sweets store. A mom and pop shop that's worth your business. I had the mochi.

Classical Japanese sweets shop. Most popular Mochi has very short life but you should try. Though staffs are not friendly and only cash is availlable.
