The raamen was good, although I wouldn't mind a little more cleaning in general.
The restaurant can hold 6-7 persons. Seating is not the most comfortable. Staff was nice.

This is Chitose located in Hachioji City in lower Tokyo.

This is `Chitose'', a shop that serves black Hachioji ramen that can be called Hachioji black. I've had this place bookmarked on Google Maps for quite some time. I finally visited.

By the way, the company has been in business for 50 years. (Shop owner's story)
    So...it's 2024 now...so it feels like they've been doing it since 1974. It's a fine long-established store.

    Yes, order
Ramen 470 yen. Huh? Cheap. I was surprised. It's hard to find anything under 500 yen these days. wonderful. Also a small fried rice for 300 yen. This is also cheap. I was surprised. The total price is 770 yen...the price setting makes me feel like I went back in time about 50 years (lol). (As of October 2024) Super cheap.

By the way, 300 yen for fried rice is the service price for the set with noodles. There is also a small curry rice for 350 yen.

    Let's start with the soup.
It's pitch black...but it's not salty at all. It has a rich flavor. It's delicious, but...it has a strange flavor and taste. But strangely enough, I've become addicted to it and keep slurping it all the time. The source of this blackness is not tamari soy sauce, but the blackness due to aging and fermentation of soybeans and wheat. This is a unique ramen. And fermented foods are good for your health.

    Next, the noodles.
The noodles were classic medium-thick yellow noodles. Chewy taste. Not bad. It's like...an old school type of noodles that really makes you feel nostalgic. There was a response to sucking.

The topping is a very creamy char siu. This is okay. This chashu is amazing. This should have been chashu noodles. It's excellent.
It's hard to tell because of the black soup, but...it comes with seaweed, snow peas, quail eggs, and shredded Chinese cucumber.

    Next is fried rice.
The fried rice was a gentle fried rice with a low amount of salt. It's an endless loop of eating where I sit down and drink the soup without any hesitation. This fried rice also had a strange flavor at first.

Both the ramen and fried rice were so addictive that at first I was like, `huh?'', but...the racha taste was so addictive that you could get addicted to it.

In line with the average value on Google Maps, I had the impression that it was about 3.9 stars.
The store looks quite old. It was a ramen shop with Showa heritage. I love this so much. I will stop by again when I am nearby. Thank you for the meal.

I would be happy if you could continue this for a long time. Please find a successor.

I came here to try the so-called Hachioji Black. I was surprised that the soup was lighter than it looked. I also received a small fried rice, which was also bland and had just the right amount of salt to be eaten with ramen. Personally, I like the look and feel of the store, which has a nostalgic feel from the Showa era. And the 430 yen ramen and 300 yen small fried rice (as of October 2024) are the best value for money. Definitely a repeat.
Please note that there is probably no parking lot, so if you go by car, you will need to park at a nearby coin parking lot. Thank you for the meal.

It seems to be called Hachioji Black, but if you've eaten ramen before, you'll probably order the local Chinese menu. It's not as salty as it looks and it's edible. It's probably a husband and wife who cooks stir-fries and noodle dishes. The phone is an old-fashioned phone. Impressed

I visited Hachioji Black⁉️ because I was curious about it 🫡
Ordered green onion ramen and small fried rice 🆗
Even small fried rice is cooked properly after ordering😁
    Arrived quickly♪
First of all, the soup looks thick⁉️, but it has a strange feeling that the bitterness comes first rather than the soy sauce, and I thought it was delicious😋
    Kana wanted garlic⁉️
The noodles had a Hachioji feel to them, and there were a lot of onions, which are standard in Hachioji, and although you can't see it in the photo, there were also a lot of menma, and I felt like the amount of noodles and ingredients was a lot.
The fried rice was eaten at a red counter and was typical of the Showa era, so it might have been a bit bland, but it was also very delicious.
As a result, I ate both and it cost 950 yen as of November 2024. Is the price similar to the Showa era?
It was a satisfying lunch in terms of taste, quantity, and price.
No parking lot 🈚️, only the counter in the store was spec 🫡
    Thank you for the meal😋
