【🇯🇵Please give this review a like if you thought it was helpful so I can keep reviewing places in Japan🗼】
As someone who has lived in Lisbon and Porto, I can confidently say this place serves authentic Portuguese food.
I never expected to find Francesinha in Japan, so when I saw it on the menu, I had to try it. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations—it was really good! The Bolinho de Bacalhau was also delicious.
The main dishes are quite large, so if you’re dining as a pair like I was, I’d recommend sharing one main dish and exploring more appetizers.
They also have Portuguese beer, which was a nostalgic treat to enjoy after so many years.
It’s not crowded with tourists, likely because it’s foreign cuisine, but if you’re visiting and want to try something different, or if you’re a resident craving authentic Portuguese food, I highly recommend this place.

We came here because we like their egg tart so much that we want to try their restaurant. Unfortunately, we are a bit disappointed. The vibe at the restaurant is nice and the service is fine. The dishes are heavy and rough. The grill sardines is very bitter and hard to enjoy. The garlic toast is hard as rock. The crème brûlée is not nearly as good as the egg tart. They do have a “terrace seating space”.

Lively Portuguese restaurant just off the station in a small alley.
Everything was fresh and tasty, especially the seafood dishes.
I especially liked the char grilled sardines and the spicy cooked calamari.
The menu is quite diverse and would love to go back to try their other dishes!

Had dinner for two - the restaurant was easy to find. Lighting inside the restaurant was a bit dark but since the staff were attentive, this wasn’t a big issue. While ordering, our server recommended which dishes to get as not to over-order. We got fried calamari (no photo - the octopus was very soft), blood sausage and pork/clam with potatoes. For dessert, we shared an egg tart. We also tried two types of “Vinho Verde”, tasted very clean and fresh. Would definitely come back! I imagine it would be good to come with a group to try many more dishes. :)

Ambience
The restaurant has a very rustic yet very lively interior and combined with the charm of streets of Yoyogi Uehara, makes for a great location.
Service
The staff tried to be as prompt and responsive as they could be given the lunch rush for the day and it felt that the place was a little understaffed.
Food
All the dishes we had were exceptionally delicious, especially the Bacalhau a Bras(cod, potato and eggs).
The churrasco had a very pleasant smoky flavor and very rich tomato salsa to go along with it.
