Curry Ippekoppe Review Summary

This place is actually a spin-off from the more famous Aoki tonkatsu restaurant just next door. The 2 restaurants actually share the same toilet!

It’s a very small place specializing in both Japanese curry and tonkatsu, but the place is quite small, with one counter seating up to only 7 people. People who might not have the time and heart to line up for Aoki next door could still have a taste of their famous tonkatsu here at this sister store.
There’s also usually a line, but not as bad. Try to aim for right before closing so you don’t have to wait as much.

This place is definitely worth the wait though, both for the quality of the food and the volume for the price you pay.

Wanted some authentic Japanese curry- This place not only delivered, but we had the best tongutsu pork and fried chicken to accompany that we’ve had in Japan. Crunchy and succulent. Loved the meal and will be back. Thank you.

First visit. The curry rice restaurant of a
famous Tonkatsu restaurant in the local. (main shop in Kanata and more in Ginza, Daimon and Yokohama).

I visited at 11:00am just after open but there's no line. (I often go to the Tonkatsu restaurant in Daimon and there is always a line before it open.)

l tried ロースカツカレー Pork cutlet curry and rice (1200JPY)this time. I think they use the same Tonkatsu as the other restaurant, but I prefer the other Tonkatsu restaurant.

Simple place with 6 counter seats. Simple and short menu. Nice experience of curry rice and pork cutlets. Went there 11.30 & managed to find seats. When we left, there were queues for this place and the tonkatsu place next door.

Waited around an hour, it was good but I know nothing about curry. It was not too spicy so you dont burn yourself while eating. Tonkatsu was very tender also.
