Don’t just assume this is an ordinary candied sweet potato store. I am a big sweet potato lover and this has been the best that I had so far by far! It’s one of the oldest store known for its “Daigaku imo”. You will need to wait for a while as they can only make a small amount each time because cook and candy the sweet potato by hand. Their fried candied sweet potato is good but I am a big fan of the steamed potatoes as well. It’s just been steamed but it tastes really sweet. Simple but the best!!!

Candied Sweet Potatoes (daigakuimo) are amazing! Deep-fried sweet potatoes in a sweet sauce are such a simple snack that you may believe you can get them anywhere. But, you would be wrong! Having tried multiple places in japan, these are hands down the best.

Best Japanese sweet potato shop. They say it'll be sold out soon, so it's a must to visit here early and wait in the queue.. But it's worth trying! I love both Daigakuimo and Kiriage and they are the best in my life.
