Daikanyama Aso Celeste Futakotamagawa Review Summary

Beautiful view, friendly service and well balanced lively Italian food! Definitely will come back.

An extremely poor meal. This place is the epitome of style over substance. The restaurant looks like a fine dining restaurant and the waiters are very eager to please, however the quality and design of the food was very poor.

I had the salmon and avocado to start which was perfectly edible but totally lacking in flavor or flair. The jelly served no purpose and the dish was crying out for something more. Also the quality of the salmon itself was poor.

Then I had the scallop ravioli which was truly awful. The ravioli contained half a scallop and some extremely strong tomato paste, meaning the scallop was completely over dominated and could not be tasted at all. It came with some rather random accompaniments including an enormous piece of mushroom which I could not cut with the spoon and fork I’d been given so had to eat it in one slightly uncomfortably.

I had the Kaki cheesecake for dessert which was not actually a cheesecake but cream layered cake with some Kaki on top. The hojicha ice cream was actually quite tasty but did not go with the rest of the dish at all.

I can honestly say this is the most disappointing meal I have ever had in Tokyo - and I’ve been here for 5 years!

My favorite Italian restaurant, due to the very nice service, the great view, and the cream butter with focaccia and great selection of wines.

Arrived at 18:30 on Christmas Eve with a reservation.
Strollers allowed, infants allowed

There are several steps at the entrance. You can get over it with a stroller, but it's a little difficult. The clerk couldn't help me.
Leave your coat at the cloakroom

Families with children can feel safe as they are guided to a dedicated area.
I thought there would be children's chairs because it's inside Takashimaya...but I was disappointed because there weren't any.
There are high cushions like those found in movie theaters.

I received a Christmas course
There was a menu that had truffles sprinkled on it, and we had them finish it at the table, but the truffles were scattered all over the place... (lol) Was this the right choice? lol
After that, the course continued without being cleared up.

For the main course, I chose sautéed foie gras for +3,630.
Minestrone was also very delicious.

The food itself was very delicious and satisfying!
