I booked the Kimpton Hotel in West Shinjuku for my family Christmas party as we had several guests from different countries coming to visit us here in Japan.
The Kimpton is an upscale, boutique hotel, and it's a very modern, sleek designed hotel and dining space.
Upon arrival we quickly seated and ordered some cocktails to start.
The Christmas menu was a set course (Snow Smile) at ¥20,000 per person.
All the food was professionally presented, and very tasty although, in hindsight, my feeling was that it was a little expensive for what was received, especially when compared to other places I have been to in the past. But I knew the price when I booked - so that's on me.
As you would expect, the staff were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the dishes they were serving.
Overall it was a very nice experience, but again based on the price, I don’t know whether I would return.

It was one of the best meals we ate in Tokyo! The wagyu beef was amazing. The rack of lamb was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and did a great job pairing a different wine with each course. We went back for breakfast, and it was just as good. The eggs Benedict were served with smoked salmon, which was a great touch.

Their customer service is above and beyond. The food is excellent. We went here for my boyfriend's birthday celebration, and they made it really special. Other than the birthday plate I requested, we were surprised with a birthday card, personally written with the wonderful staff, Dat. He made it extra special for my person and to us. The chefs did an excellent work in plating our meal and the taste is amaaaazing! Chef Setsuko has always been very great in what she do. Overall, the lunch menu here at District, the ambiance, staff, without a doubt 10/10 highly recommended. Thank you sooo much for a remarkable experience.

When you entering the building, immediately experienced the overwhelming smell like sewage. Very unpleasant!
The food overall is pretty regular for brunch but nothing is impressive.
3 course menu is 5,000 yen per person and wine list starts from 7,000 yen ish
There is a 10% service charge while I really don’t understand why! Because they doesn’t pour wine for you or you don’t even get a glass of water until you ask them. We also asked for the second basket of bread but they never came.
The atmosphere is beautiful, modern New York style.
This place tying to be high end and but none of the things meet the high end standard.
In the end we spend 12,000+ yen per person for a standard brunch experience, and really don’t understand why. Usually it’s around 6,000-7,000 yen per person and you get much better food, wine and SERVICE!!
    Not worse it at all:/

We found the District a very nice place to dine as long as you dont mind paying a little more for Kimpton and pet friendly. It was comfortable, elegant and the service was good. We had a party of 8 and were glad to find somewhere that we could get in on short notice. Appetizers and entrees were good and presented well. Dinner service was good and servers worked hard to meet our every need.
