If you want interesting soba or just some nihonshu this is the place I would venture into. Located in a very cute little part of Kobe, the restaurant conforms to the neighbourhood’s ambience and has that fashionable but quite feel you find only in Japan.

The soba is great as is the selection of Sake

The restaurant closes as soon as the soup stock runs out, so when I visited once, it was already closed at night. I was interested in it because it had been highly rated on other sites, so I decided to visit it again. I ordered Kamo Seiro and the limited edition Sudachi Soba (added seasoned rice and dashi rolls with the set), and since it was lunch time, the place was nearly full even on weekdays. The flavor was delicious, not too strong and not too light. The noodles are thin and easy to eat, and I think even women can enjoy it easily. It was so delicious that I wanted to try it with salt next time. This is a soba restaurant that I would like to go to again.

I had Seiro Soba as a lunch set. The cooked rice, pickles (also delicious), and tamagoyaki (covered with daikon radish, but left as is without soy sauce) were well prepared. The wasabi condiment was so delicious that I had it in small portions with the soba noodles without adding it to the soup stock. You can add more soba noodles to make it larger, but regular soba may be enough. The soba noodles are cut as neatly as if they were cut by a machine. Even so, the kitchen is small and there doesn't seem to be a soba machine or a place to make soba, but I wonder if the work is done outside business hours on the customer side. I arrived at just the right time in the afternoon. After all, there are only about 10 seats (6 people at the counter, 2 tables for 2 people), so it's difficult for more than 2 people. The store is on the second floor and uses an outdoor spiral staircase. This area has an atmosphere that is neither Sannomiya nor Motomachi, and although there are not many people, there are many stylish shops, and it has recently become my favorite place to wander around.
