Drink Drank Review Summary

What a treat for lovers of persimmons. Delicious to the last slurp. A smoothie of persimmons topped with fresh persimmons. Got to have it if you crave it. As my daughter says, “it will change your life for the better “. Yum, yum, yum.

We stopped here to escape from the heat after exploring Nara Park. Both the melon smoothie and mixed fruit juice were perfect for the scorching weather! You get fresh juicy pieces of melon with the smoothie.

Also got the chicken panini which was a good little snack.

Japan seems like a place quite famous for banana juice. You'll easily find this option on most café drink menus and also in any convenience store. It's a bit pricey, but if you visit any market, you'll see that their fruit is quite expensive, even more than seafood. This likely explains why a small cup of banana juice comes at a higher cost.

They were so nice! We got to the store 10 minutes before they closed the store and still made us smoothies. We got the milk peach ones. They were the best peach smoothies we ever had.

I wanted to cool off while exploring the streets of Nara on a hot day and was intrigued by a sign at Drink Drank for a persimmon drink. I love persimmons but have never seen it in a smoothie before and had to try.

Final Thoughts:
I loved the smoothie which was sweet and topped with freshly cut persimmons. The portion size was a tad small, but still enjoyed this treat especially with how uncommon it is to find persimmon drinks.

The cafe requires everyone in your party to order something in order to sit inside so my friend and I took the drink to enjoy by the water just down the street (next to the Starbucks). There is public seating along the water and a beautiful view as well.
