From beginning to end, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and company. The omakase at Ebisu Sushi Fujimasa, is top notch; a tremendous value, and easily challenges some of the best Omakase I’ve tried in San Francisco.
It may be a challenge to find, but you will not be disappointed. The entrance is unmarked on the 2nd floor of a non-descript building. Don’t be afraid, slide open the door, and you will be greeted by warm smiles and hot tea. The staff will make you feel welcome. Watch your head, it’s a low bridge throughout.
Our chef for the evening was Ken Kanata, not only skilled and always keeping something fresh and tasty coming, but kept us smiling and laughing throughout our meal. We may have not always understood one another, but the laughs and smiles transcended the barrier.
I cannot recommend dining here enough.
Don’t forget to buy the chef a beer at the end!

The inside of the restaurant has a calm and elegant counter seating area.
The friendly general and the attentive staff made us feel comfortable and had a good time.
The fresh ingredients are thick and the combination with the fluffy sushi is exquisite.
I'm also happy with the thoughtfulness with which they calculate and provide the most delicious toppings that day.
The temperature of the sushi seems to change depending on the toppings, and it was very delicious.
