GOAT status for me when it comes to noodles. I’ve scoured the world for the best noodles and this bowl of Dan Dan noodles dialed into culinary perfection. The numbing spice, the texture of the noodles, the beautifully minced pork, the presentation, the atmosphere, etc etc. Don’t believe the hype I’m giving? Look to the Michelin guide to see a perspective consistent with mine. I will forever remember this glorious bowl of noodles 🍜

One of the best dry style noodles I've ever had. Noodle texture and chew was perfect. Their spiciest version was great for me as a spicy food fiend.

Tan tan mian was one of the best I have ever eaten. The balance of all flavors and textures was amazing. The sauce is full of nicely balanced spices, and raw onion and pickled vegetables give a nice kick, while peanuts support the texture. Supplementary vinegars and spicy oil, pepper could be well mixed with the existing flavor. It was definitely the best meal in Kobe for me. They seem to be quite proud of their food so I thought it was a bit snobby at first (there are some rules written on the wall) but they didn’t seem to care that much. nice food at reasonable price.
