There are many Sichuan Chinese restaurants in Akasaka, and many that serve mapo tofu, but I had never visited this one.
It's open for lunch from 11am, so it's also a good place for an early lunch.
I entered the store around 11:20 and was greeted with a cheerful greeting.
There were two groups of three customers.

■Mabo tofu set meal @ 1,000 yen (tax included)
*Select spiciness level 3 and rice level (medium)

In addition to the main dish of mapo tofu and rice, the set meal came with Chinese-style egg soup, pressed vegetables, and bean sprouts, and each dish was delicious.
The mapo tofu had just the right amount of spiciness at a spiciness level of 3. It has a strong hemp and chili flavor, but amidst the spiciness there is something like the sweetness of meat miso, making it a deep and delicious dish.
There was a generous amount of mapo tofu, and I personally found it to be a good balance with the rice (medium), but even with the rice (large), I don't think there would be any leftover rice.
I think the customer service was good, as the male staff member who was in charge of the service was energetic and enthusiastic.
The food was reasonably priced and the customer service was good, so I would like to come back to try the sweet and sour pork with black vinegar.
