Esse Due Description

ESSE DUE, a renowned pizzeria in Akasaka, has been delighting customers for over 20 years with its authentic Italian cuisine. What sets ESSE DUE apart from other dining establishments is its commitment to quality and tradition. The restaurant takes pride in its wood-fired pizza, which is cooked in a specially crafted oven at temperatures exceeding 400 degrees. This artisanal approach ensures that each pizza is perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside.

The restaurant's menu features a variety of mouthwatering dishes, including their signature pizzas and homemade pastas. For lunch, you can enjoy the Pizza Lunch Set, which includes a salad and coffee, or the Pasta Lunch Set, which comes with a salad and coffee as well. The pizzas are available in different flavors, such as the Tomato Base with a variety of seafood, capers, and anchovies, or the Cheese Base with prosciutto cotto and friarielli. If you're looking for something extra, you can upgrade your salad to a mini appetizer for an additional fee.

ESSE DUE also offers excellent value with their course menus. The 'Cost-Effective Plan for 5,000 yen' includes all-you-can-drink beer and highballs, along with two types of their famous pizzas, chef's special pasta, and roasted pork. If you're looking for a more indulgent experience, the 'Luxurious Plan for 6,000 yen' offers a full course meal with a variety of dishes, including colorful appetizers, their signature pizzas, special pasta, and fish or meat dishes. Both plans come with all-you-can-drink options, including craft beer and highballs.

The restaurant's inviting atmosphere is enhanced by its open terrace seating, allowing guests to enjoy their meal while taking in the surrounding scenery. Whether you're looking for a casual lunch or a special dinner, ESSE DUE is the perfect destination for Italian cuisine lovers in Akasaka.

A pizza clearly made with passion. Wow.. I’m so glad I found out about this pizza restaurant!

I got a Margherita pizza and it arrived FRESH out of the oven. The oven temperatures are very hot which makes the dough really nice and crispy but airy and fluffy inside. Nice color and flavor on the dough.

The ingredients were very flavorful, and good quality. I love the fact that the toppings are literally thrown onto the pizza. Some bites were more cheesy, some had more tomato sauce, some bites of the dough were saltier than others. It’s clearly a pizza put together with passion. Exactly how I like my pizza, and how pizza should be prepared.

I’m quite surprised by the quality of the pizza here. Nice hot ovens, good ingredients, passionate chefs. I strongly recommend this place! The price is also fantastic 👌🏜

The chili oil is actually spicy as well, unlike some other pizza restaurants in Tokyo 🙏🏜

Thanks for an incredible experience

Loved that restaurant! The personnel is amazing, the food mindblowing! I had the pasta with foie gras which was delicious, I wanted to ask for bread to be able to eat the full sauce! And the caramel pudding was the best dessert I have ever had maybe! The cream on the side was delicious, the caramel a bit sour like the one with deep taste have and the pudding in itself was firm but not too much, softening once put in the mouth. All of this combined in a spoon made an amazing experience!

Great Italian food at affordable prices (when ordering a set menu). If you go "a la carte" then it's a bit more expensive but quality food anyway. I came here exclusively to try the crema caramellata and boy, was it worth it. One of the most delicious desserts I've had in Japan. I greatly recommend it.
