Fujiyoshi Review Summary

This was the best meal i’ve had in japan accompanied by the sweetest couple who’ve worked together for over 50 years. There was a language barrier between us but the owners went out there way to make us feel extremely comfortable. They made sure we were fed right and overall one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had in japan Thank you so much

The best experience I have had in Japan. Despite the language barrier, we were very welcomed by the owners. The food was delicious and very authentic, the atmosphere was immaculate. At the end do the night, the owner sang old Japanese songs and sat next to me to indulge in sake. There is nothing better than this.

We couldn't experience cause there was a limit of 5000 yen per person.

As an American visiting Kyoto, this place was an authentic adventure in traditional and exotic(for me) seafood cuisine - different cuts of minke whale sashimi, cod milt, etc. It is a small place run by an elderly couple who take pride in their craft.

I loved everything here! Probably the best sushi I have had in Kyoto, accompanied by other traditional Japanese small plates (including delicious dessert that they kindly offered to us!) and an amazingly kind and entertaining couple. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you Fujiyoshi❤️
