Genkishin (Nara) Review Summary

I choose this place to dine in because of the high reviews after my tour around Nara. The waitress was very friendly and she gave me a English menu knowing i'm a tourist.

The ramen broth was so delicious and noodle cooked to perfection. Gyoza was nicely seasoned. Barbecue pork rice is the star, it was so tender and seasoned to its best.

5 star definitely. Give it a try.

The ramen was excellent. We ordered the shoyu and tori paitan ramen with egg. The shoyu ramen had a lighter soup while the tori paitan hada rich tasting soup. Both were spectacular. We also ordered gyoza and it was also good. Their prices were reasonable. The staff member who attended to us was pleasant.

The place is kind of tricky to find because the door is a little narrow. Please refer to photos for the picture of the facade that you need to look for. It is beside a Chinese restaurant. Genkishin is the one on the left.

I recommend this place.

Edit: I forgot to mention that they have free high speed internet for customers so that's nice.

We've got impressed by this place, despite it's a small restaurant, it's cozy and clean, this ramen is out of the world, the soup is very dense and rich in flavour, the service is good and the portions are big, totally worth the price which is also very good. I'd definitely come back.

We didn't expect much at first, but we ate here among the best ramen in Japan. Very tasty rich in flavour broth and excellent meat. The restaurant is clean and we didn't have to wait at all.

Long ramen restaurant which serves tsukemen as their house special. The atmosphere and vibe is nothing special, but the service is excellent.
The food is where this place excels! The ramen soup is medium heavy and delicious! They have a kids set which is amazing value! Really good and a really good price!
