It was a unique experience with your private room and someone cooked for you. A nice guy with dimples tried very hard in explaining everything in English. Wagyu beef is also delicious. But, even the cheapest option is 20000 yen per person. With this price I expected something better. It is delicious but not worth the price.

Generally a decent meal, although not cheap. Ordered the most expensive course (30.000¥+), it has several entries and while portions looks small it was enough to fill you up. Got a separate private room as well, which is good. Service is polite, and they don’t talk much except for basic introduction of dishes. Location is also great as it’s in Ginza, quite easy to find

Was looking forward to this restaurant as it was the final meal in our Tokyo trip . However Things started to go down as the waiter looked like he didn’t want to work and didn’t even try to explain anything about the beef or the sauce or anything else.

We ordered the smallest course which, however, at 16,700 yen per person, was not cheap. The quantity was small. Only 6 small pieces of meat. And the quality was very ordinary.
The tongue was unlike any I have ever tasted and honestly I think the cow was grown in a wasteland as it was dry as hell. The courses were hella expensive but only changed a few dishes by adding more prestigious ingredients . They wouldn’t even let old people , pregnant women or children under twelve eat courses and have them eat an even more underwhelming set .

The rice was dry and probably aged for a century . The sauces were good but we had no idea what they were, because the waiter seemed to be too lazy to explain anything.

The place got private chef cooking for you but to be honest, we would cook it better. The meat was very overcooked and burned as the waiter kept leaving the meat on the stove and walking out of the room to do some stuff.

A $300 price for three is unacceptable and is mainly a big scam. They seem to not serve people who order the cheaper courses and tourists in general. They didn’t even serve soup and the waiter didn’t greet us or say goodbye and thank you .

They even charge service 10% , being the only in Japan I ever experienced. We went to five yakiniku/sukiyaki restaurants in our seven day trip and this was the most expensive and also the worst one . Do not book , instead try restaurants like Yakiniku Jumbo

I was excited to dine at this highly-rated yakiniku, but I left feeling thoroughly underwhelmed. Nothing about the experience stood out—the service was mediocre, the uni wasn’t fresh or sweet, and the overall quality of the food didn’t match the high price. The only highlight was the wagyu sandwich, but that was about it. Overall, it was pretty disappointing. There are plenty of other yakiniku spots in the city that are not only tastier but far more affordable.

Ginza Chikamitsu offers an exceptional dining experience that truly justifies its price. The wagyu beef here is the best we've ever tasted—each bite is a testament to their commitment to quality. The chefs expertly pair different cuts of beef with a variety of sauces, each complementing the rich flavours perfectly. If you're a wagyu enthusiast or simply looking for an unforgettable meal, Ginza Chikamitsu is well worth the splurge.
