Gion Take Sushi Review Summary

This was a great place. The atmosphere, experience, and the staff was amazing. We had the 5000¥ meal and it was definitely worth it and delicious. It was quiet and the staff was extremely polite and friendly.

Really fresh and high quality fish selection. For the course C (9000 yen), the chef cut and prepared a live shrimp!

The place seems to be run by an elderly couple. Even though they don’t speak English that well, their craft is amazing and the food quality is high. They definitely deserve more volume and more customers.

It was evident that the Taisho (chef) takes his craft seriously. Found this place by coincidence but I loved the food and the chef's unique character. Will definitely come again when visiting Kyoto.

Great sushi experience in Kyoto, order the omakase and you won't be sorry. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.
The green tea at the end of service is worth 10stars by itself.
