Godnov Tokyo Marunouchi Building Review Summary

We visited this restaurant, the food was good but little portions. The desert was not up to expectations, it was over grilled and the hidden side was black, unacceptable, we rejected it nor they proposed to replace it.
The staff is really nice and the atmosphere was good. If they can improve some aspects we will certainly visit again.

Located on 5th floor of Marunouchi Building just across the street from Tokyo station. Quality of food is 3.5 star for Japanese standard. The restaurant is known for its authentic recipes of original restaurant in Russia, however, the price and quantity is very much Japanese standard. Visited for lunch on weekend, the course menu were from JPY 2,000 - 5,000. Alcoholic beverage is from JPY 1,000. The service is OK. Overall, the place is recommended if you are looking for something different, but the place is rather expensive for quality, quantity, and services. You can find more reasonable restaurants within same building if you are not looking for Russian.

Very good food, but not the most traditionally Russian. More of a Japanese take on Russian food. A bit pricey for the small portions but flavors are outstanding. Service is good, people are friendly, easy to find. Recommend the stroganoff, borscht, and desserts, do not recommend the crab gelatin (picture attached)

First Russian restaurant I’ve had in Japan. Tried the cabbage roll course for a late lunch, and I enjoyed the borscht and salad. The pirozhki was a little dry but it tasted fine, and the cabbage roll was a little plain to my taste. The millefeuille dessert was very nice and the berry sauce was delicious.

The food is horrible. Please save yourself this culinary torture. Borsch says okay but the meat dishes were utterly insipid. Atmosphere sterile. Go to Minsk restaurant for authentic Belarusian or Russian food.
