Goni 52

I am Chinese & ate Chinese food my whole life across the world. This is the chinese food of your dreams... It was my first time trying the sauce on top of boiled dumplings and it was EXCELLENT, I can promise you it's incredible. After eating several michelins and top-ranked restaurants (from tabelog), this dumpling was the only food to make me almost cry from how good it was.

The gyoza is also delicious, the meat portion is great balance and the fried underside is perfectly crispy. Other people who dislike them may be too used to MSG or overly oiled gyozas... but if you want to taste fresh with good filling, this is the spot to be.

All our other dishes were close to perfection as well. I have tried looking for 口水鸡 everywhere across NYC/Chicago, but Goni52 is the best one I have had yet. The shao mai has an incredibly generous meat:skin ratio that is only matched by my grandma's home cooking.

Well, it's just as rumored. I was continuously impressed by how delicious everything was.
First, I typed in the slightly dimly lit but warm atmosphere of the store.
On this day, I was seated at the counter.
The owner was wrapping the gyoza right in front of me.
Drinking while watching the spring rolls being rolled is bliss.
First of all, let's start with fried dumplings.
Plump and large dumplings.
The thick skin is chewy.
There's plenty of gyoza filling inside.
The meat juices that burst out when you put it in your mouth are irresistible.
It's delicious even without adding anything! !
It's extremely addictive and you can eat as many as you want.
And boiled dumplings too.

I fell in love with boiled gyoza, which is milder than fried gyoza, but has a strong flavor.
And I definitely want to eat this! That's what I thought about spring rolls!

The staff at the shop are friendly and the place feels very comfortable from beginning to end!
I was wondering why the name of the store was 52, but I forgot to ask, so I'll make it a point to ask next time I visit!
If I had a chance, I would have liked to eat some carbohydrates at the end, but I held back on this day.
