Gonroku Review Summary

Very vey delicious Tsukemen, English menu available, very helpful staffs, recommend to go earlier to lunch time for shorter line. We ordered small size, and that’s big for us. Most Japanese order large size which looks scary big to us. Don’t forget to put the seasoning powder to the ramen, I think it’s a dried fish power, which exploding the sense of taste so heavenly.

The service and food were both really nice.

Delicious ramen with an awesome fish based broth, the tsukemen were served quickly and the soup was some of the best I’ve tasted. It has a mild bonito taste on the back end with a very flavorful broth. It’s lighter than the average ramen shop so I left feeling full but not sickly heavy. I would suggest getting the service soup at the end of ya meal and adding it to the left over tsukemen soup and drinking some, it’s absolutely delicious and goes well with beer.

When I visited I had not used the type or ordering machine before and was unsure what to do but in no time one of the staff members helped us out with what to order. The food came quick and was far beyond my expectations. So filling and tasty.

The best Udon noodles I've ever had. 780 yen for the one we tried (at random) and 200 extra for 2 dumplings, and goodness, that's the best $10 I've ever spent in Japan, and in noodles all over the world. So tasty, and such portions!!!!! They have a small menu translated in English, I believe. Nice staff who speaks little English but will help out as much as they can. THANK YOU!!
