Apparently quite a famous restaurant in Ginza and purported to be the originator of the katsu curry. Came an hour before closing and place was almost empty. Service was still good and definitely has a tavern-style vibe with the dim lighting and wooden decor.

Food is overall quite good, however, would say that its quite expensive for what it is. I do have to give credit for the curry though as haven't had curry mixed with mince in Japan before. I was a little disappointed to find out that we had to order a drink each. Not a rule I've seen in any other restaurant.

    Western set
Katsu: S+, 8.5/10. Not the best I've had but still well crumbled with crisp outside and tender inside
Curry: SS, 9/10. Adding mince to the curry definitely elevates it, but, otherwise flavour profile is pretty standard
Crab croquette: A, 7/10. Imitation crab.
    Potage: S, 8/10.
    Salad: A, 7/10
Value: B, 6/10.¥3000 is a bit expensive especially given the small size of the katsu curry

Gyukatsu: SS+, 9.5/10. Beef was surprisingly excellent and much better than any other dish. As good or better than motomura.

No line at 1115am on Sunday morning. Nicely decorated restaurant on 2nd floor. We got the table seat at the bar which was comfortable. My dad came here for the beef katsu sandwich- it was excellent. I ordered the pork katsu curry and mum got the egg rice. Pork katsu curry was generous in size and quite tasty but the egg rice was different to what we expected and disappointing (rice tasted like it had ketchup in it). For sides we got the crab croquettes which were done perfectly.

When we arrived, the restaurant had a lot of empty tables and seats, but the host told us to wait outside for some reason.

You need to climb stairs to get to the restaurant as well. I'm not entirely sure if there is a handicap accessible way to visit.

Food was delicious, the server assigned to our table was pleasant and informative about the dishes, dressings, sauces etc. The curry was savory and pairs well with the cutlet.

They require you to order at least 1 main and 1 drink I think.

    It's a pleasant, quiet restaurant.

Very tasty curry. The Katsu was crispy but a bit chewy. The curry was tasty but didn't have a lot of depth of flavor. A very nice portion size though

It seems to have done so recently,
It is a famous Ginza Western-style restaurant.

    I had an omelette rice.
It's exactly like an omelette rice.
It is recommended not only for Japanese but also for foreign tourists.
