Grip Review Summary

After attempting to come a few times before, we were finally able to book a table for two (terrace seating). It was early May and that evening happened to be quite chilly / windy. It was nice that they provided warm blankets, but was still a bit cold. Not sure if they usually install heaters in winter. The terrace looked gorgeous with the lights and vines, and would be a great spot for dinner dates.

There were limited items on the menu - we got asparagus salad (with soft boiled egg egg), firefly squid pasta, grilled pork and risotto. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection but the pork dish was #1! I also liked how they gave us the option of being served dishes to share in separate plates. Servers were attentive and created a positive atmosphere.

I recommend booking in advance and ask to be seated indoors during cooler months.

Originally i wanted to give it 1 star for the extremely long wait time and the unattentivness of the waiters. Waiters should be checking on us and asking is everything okay etc. However they gave us free sample tasting of apple mascapone bacon which was delicious! After leaving they gave us free bread which was also delicious! Overall food was good! Just need to improve on waiting time!

Nice atmosphere and more comfortable seating than the sister's company racines a block away. If you are big eater, you can order 150g spaghetti without additional charge. Salad dressing is good. Coffee is below Tokyo standard.

The food is fresh and we'll served.
Oyster homemade sauce was just fabulous.
Highly recommend.

I happened to find this cute place! Food was great! All plates are small portions. I would love to come back!
