I recently visited Hanada Ueno and was extremely impressed with the level of service provided by the staff. Despite the fact that they did not speak English, they made an effort to prepare a vegetarian option for me. The ordering process through an automated machine was unique (for me) and allowed for customization of spice level and additional requests. I was directed to this ramen gem by a colleague and I am glad I took her recommendation. The "Rich Creamy Ramen Soup" was a must-try and it did not disappoint, it was truly delicious. Overall, I highly recommend Hanada Ueno for anyone looking for a unique and satisfying dining experience.

Found this little ramen joint on our first night in Tokyo! It was late and raining. My aim was to eat lots of tsukemen in Japan and oh boy this place did not disappoint!
The noodles were bouncy and juicy and the soup was delicious. Lots of local businessmen dropping by late.
Also got to experience ordering through the ticket machine (kind of like a vending machine, but you get a ticket for food).
As a noodle lover, this place ticked all the boxes!

the ikebukuro shop is better but this was still very good (with much less of a queue)
