Homely taste. Superb after a climb up the shrine. (Before will be good too if you prefer. It is a long climb to the top, about an hour of steps).

Very cozy, old-timey place serving up homey comfort foods. After climbing Mt Inari in a cool winter day, I wanted something hot and soupy. All the places around the area were quite touristy and serving mostly sweets. I was so glad to find this place! It wasn’t too crowded and we were seated right away.

The oden was perfect. It was exactly what I wanted right then. I felt rejuvenated after the snack and hot tea. Highly recommend for a meal or a snack!

This is a great cozy spot for breakfast before your hike. The udon and the omelette were super flavorful and gave you that warm home cooked feeling when eating it. The local grandmas there who is running the restaurant is super adorable. Definitely consider supporting them! Cash only. Didn’t have to wait when I went.

This place is a gem. Guests have to sit on tatami mat and place your shoes outside. Notable mention is the inari, the kitsune udon and tempura udon. The soup is heaven made! The oyakodon is delicious too! Prices are reasonable and they give nice hot kocha too. Recommended when u come to visit Kyoto inari station

Didn't eat in the place, but bought an Inari sushi each.
They were tasty and the aged lady serving was very kind and patient. Would love to go for another few if we had not planned for lunch elsewhere.
Will definitely be back when there.
