Handmade Soba Soba Shiki Kioicho
Handmade Soba Soba Shiki Kioicho Description
Tucked away within the station area lies Handmade Soba Soba Shiki Kioicho, an elegant soba shop, boasting a delightful array of lunch sets. Their menu highlights include fresh, hand-cut soba noodles paired with crisp tempura — the tempura don being a notable favorite among many.
Not just an ordinary soba place, this restaurant is renowned for its authentic flavors. The soba noodles offer a texture that's unparalleled; perfectly drained and firm, they're made from premium buckwheat flour sourced from Fukui Prefecture, presenting a truly distinctive taste. These carefully handcrafted noodles are prepared by skilled craftsmen and are served in stylish bamboo steamers.
Adding to the exquisite experience is the tempura. With a delicate thin batter, it showcases an elegant finish. Particularly noteworthy are the bamboo shoots and the sizable prawns, which have been expertly prepared.
Beyond the food, what stands out is the ambiance of the establishment, capturing an authentic Japanese atmosphere. The well-chilled soba soup adds a refreshing touch, infused with the aromatic essence of dried bonito and sudachi.
In terms of value, the quality and taste of the dishes certainly justify the price point. All in all, this restaurant is not just about food but a complete dining experience, especially for those who appreciate the delicate art of soba and tempura.

Nice little soba shop tucked away inside the station area. Had the set meal with soba and tempura and it was pretty good. Fresh tasting noodles and crispy tempura. I found the service to be a little slow and not as good as some other restaurants. But overall, a pleasant lunch experience

Variety of lunch sets to go with some handcut soba noodles. The tempura don is always a nice addition. Overall the portions are on the lighter side so good for when you don't want to be too full and drowsy in the afternoon.
