Hisagozusi Review Summary

Located along the road near Takashimaya.
There was a staff at the entrance who helped to take order for those customers who wanted to order take-aways.
The decorations of the restaurant were very Japanese like.
You could request for the English menu, some of the staff knew some basic English.
The food was nice. Ordered the bento, very tasty.
Quite flavourful, with the minced fish.
The store served me hot green tea before my meal and after my meal, a cup of hot roasted tea was served. The cup of hot roasted tea was great after the meal.
Enjoyed myself.

Very small and cute sushi place right in the heart of Kyōtos shopping district. The prices are rather high, while the size of the sushi is huge! This is why you get double the sizes of “usual” places and the prices are comparable high, while the quality is on the higher level. Only the Ebi Nigiri had very little Ebi/Shrimp on it. In general recommendable for a quick snack

We were seated upstairs and the lady welcomed us with warm green tea. The food was made very fresh and it was delicious and filling. The mackerel sushi was very strong taste ans smell for us but the rest was very nice. I highly recommend .

Food is below average. Not very tasty and some of the fish was extremely chewy. Omelette items are not actually egg only, there is sugary taste and texture more like soft bread. None of our four family members enjoyed the lunch. Staff not speaking English but English menu available. Comparably expensive to other restaurants in the area.
