Only pasta is served and old style Japanese Italian restaurant. Very disappointed. You can only order two pasta sauces even your group is more than 2 persons.

A restaurant run by Chef Yoshikawa, an Italian master. This is my first visit to Capitoline since I went to Capitoline, which was then run by Chef Yoshikawa in Nishiazabu over 20 years ago. The strong seasoning is the best.

Best traditional Italian restaurant in Tokyo!

We were lucky enough to eat in this restaurant feeling at home! Traditional Roman cuisine, spectacular service and incredible cuisine! Chef Toshiaki knows how to pamper his customers with typical dishes of traditional Roman cuisine: clams, tagliatelle, amatriciana and real Italian bitters bring a bit of Italy to Japan! Thanks again for the fantastic experience. I recommend booking as it is a very welcoming place that hosts only a few lucky customers.

I had a meal prepared by Chef Yoshikawa, a master Italian chef who I had always wanted to visit.
A hidden away shop located a little far from Chitose-Funabashi (or Kyodo) station.

The first negative point is that you shouldn't have high expectations for the service.
If you try to order two pastas for two people, you will be rejected saying it is too much.
The customer service is not particularly attentive or pleasant.
It's best to think of yourself as just someone who serves food.

For appetizers, if you order the campidoio-style antipasto, you can enjoy three full dishes with just that.
All of them are wine thieves and have a wonderful balance of seasoning.

When I asked about the linguine campidoio style, which was the only pasta menu I didn't know the details of, I was told it was a cream sauce with prosciutto, mushrooms, and green peas.
I don't usually like cream-based pasta, but since it bears the restaurant's name, I decided to try it.
It wasn't too heavy, but the flavors of the ingredients were vivid and it was delicious.
Do you like it because it's quite old? What style did you end up with? The pasta is finished soft.

I'm really glad I got to eat the chef's cooking while he was still alive.
If it was in my neighborhood, I would want to go there every week just for antipasto and wine.

I have been receiving Chef Yoshikawa's food for over 20 years. Even today, you can still enjoy the authentic taste of Roman tradition. A shop full of love for Rome. Even if you can't go to Italy due to the coronavirus pandemic, you can still be happy with the authentic taste of this restaurant! ︎ By the way, it is a complete reservation system.
