Ichikatsu Review Summary

Tonkatsu is always great here at one of these Ichikatu locations. You do not see as many tourists as the one in Ueno. The place was full of Tokyo working people trying to get a bite to eat after work. We spent less than 3000 yen for two here. Awesome value and kind of cultural experience.

We came in for dinner at about 6pm after the sumo tournament and were seated quickly. Shortly after that many people came in. The upper loin was juicy due to it fattier cut. While the cutlet was more lean but juicy too. Rice was tasty too! Clam miso soup was great. Good experience here!

English menu is available. Cash only. Great value for money and appears to be where all the locals go. This restaurant got us into tonkatsu and we couldn't find better during our trip.

If you want to eat katsu at a reasonable price, you should go!
There are only counter seats available. During busy times such as lunchtime, you may have to queue, but they will take your order while you wait.

It's very crispy and delicious. Miso soup is also good! I want to go again.

Ate here with travel companions last night. Got the pork cutlets and beer, serving size was awesome! And you appreciate how much you get because the taste is fantastic.

It is cash only, but the staff are so friendly and happy that you can easily run and grab some out from the nearby family mart.

Got into our Hotel in the area and found this spot to eat dinner after strolling the streets nearby. It wasnt busy so we were instantly seated around 6-7PM. They have a English menu which was nice. Ordered the standard tonkatsu set with pork cutlet, cabbage, rice and miso soup. We also added the shrimp which was amazing. Comes with unlimited cold green tea which was refreshing. For around 1000 yen you cannot go wrong with this place.
