Imakatsu Roppongi Review Summary

This will be the place I measure all my future Katsu meals against. The meal was very very good.

Keep in mind that taste is subjective, but for me, this is the perfection of crispiness, juiciness, and flavor. We didn't wait in line at all, but I think that was luck. While we ate, it looked like about 10-15 people queued up outside waiting to get that Katsu goodness, and it might have only got worse after that.

The staff was pleasant and the food was served pretty quick. It took a little bit to get the bill, but that is barely mentionable, as the rest of everything was amazing.

Saw good review for this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We had to queue for more than 30 minutes before we got our seats. The restaurant has a sitting capacity for about 20 persons only. We had a variety of katsu, and all were excellent. All were crispy but not oily. I love the chicken katsu, best of all. The chicken is tender and juicy. Service was also quite fast. This is definitely one of the nicest places to eat in Tokyo.

Imakatsu was recommended to me as “the best and juiciest katsu I’ve ever eaten”, and it lived up to the hype.

We arrived after the lunch rush and were seated quickly, and enjoyed a delicious meal. The staff were friendly and happy to assist us in English.

Wow this was amazing! We lined up for maybe 20mins on a weekday around 6:45pm but it was well worth the wait. The restaurant is quite small so probably best to go with a small group of 2-4. I got an assorted katsu variety and it was amazinggg, the batter was light and the meats were soft and juicy. Not too greasy at all. One set is the perfect amount for one person. Free refills for rice and cabbage salad.

Highly recommend and would come again!
