Very attentive staff and delicious monja and anko maki. The anko maki is definitely recommended. There’s a piece of laminated paper folded between the pages of the menu with instructions on how to make your own monja (visual aid included). There’s even febreeze outside to spray on your clothes.

It was tasty! We came here by chance and found a place with English translations in their menu. Tried it for the first time and although it was intimidating at first, it was good! They cooked it for us while we cooked our butter dish. You can put your bags inside the bench if you sit on the side. Just wave them down when you’re ready to order.

Tsukishima Monja Street is literally packed with stores offering the revered monjayaki. After an obligatory lap, Iroha was the pick, although I don’t think you could go too wrong. Having never tried the dish, we watched the neighbouring diners as they poured the ingredients onto the hot plate, a bit of technique required. Definitely worth having a look how it’s made beforehand if you remember. Overall, okonomiyaki is still my favourite, but Iroha was a pleasant experience nevertheless.
