Iron Diner Review Summary

I would definitely come back. Authentic local Japanese okonomiyaki with great service and vibes. Love it.

On a walk through Shinjuku to Yoyogi park, we came on Iron Diner and decided to stop back there later on for a teppanyaki dinner. We made a great decision. About a 7 minute walk from Shinjuku station, we had amazing food, great service and an unreal atmosphere, all provided by the owner Yuki. Would highly recommend, from someone who typically doesn't leave reviews.

High cost performance. The staffs are very very nice!!! The hotate and oyster are very delicious!

Great food with lively atmosphere - sit at the grill for the best view of this skilled chef.

I visited for the first time with a friend who is a regular.

I went there saying I wanted to eat meat.

Although it is an okonomiyaki restaurant, they also have a full menu other than okonomiyaki.

It's a simple and delicious dish.
Freshly made is the best.

It is a staple of Teppanyaki and is also delicious at this time of year.

Grilled skirt steak
Skirt steak is delicious even when eaten as is.

Grilled wagyu beef with salt
It's a soul food dish that is eaten with shredded cabbage, but it's like eating just the toppings of okonomiyaki.

Stir-fried wood ear mushrooms and pork with eggs
There is also a Chinese menu like this.
This went pretty well.

Grilled red tomato carp
As expected, this is a dish from an okonomiyaki restaurant.
The store is also a must-see. It was very delicious.

It's a fun place to eat together.

I think counter seats are good for two people.

I would like to visit you again.
