Izugen Review Summary

A hidden gem! I didn’t realize they were Michelin-rated until I was about to pay. The sushi was excellent, the staff was super friendly (seems like it’s family-run), and it had a great traditional vibe. Highly recommend it and would love to go back!

Found this place from the Michelin guide. We just walked in in the evening and we were seated fast. Sushi arrived quickly and it was great! Not the best sushi you will find in Japan of course but quite good value for money! We really enjoyed everything here and I can recommend it!

Cute little restaurant with really friendly staff. Great place to try traditional style sushi. The plates are more filling than they may appear in the photos. The rice is very dense and you can get full off of 8 pieces easily.

Easy to get reservations the day before or day of. We came on weekday night and didn't have a wait.

I used Instagram to message them to see what times were available. Was totally worth the visit when you are craving a simple sushi meal.

They have an English menu if you need, but of course a little Japanese will go a long way.

Excellent food and service. Very cozy and humble restaurant. There's English menu. Price is affordable. A gem which definitely deserves Michelin recognition.
