Easy to book for lunch even on the same day.
Locate nearby the heart of Roppongi- so it’s easy to travel and shop around.
Service is good and solo friendly, the price is also good for tasting where they serve 3 glasses / 6 glasses. Pretty flexible.
The food is good and even a bit too much if you are not in a very hungry mood - however they close around 3pm so can always take time and enjoy!
Spotted a few couples and lovers, watching food when making is always fun and hopefully I’ll be there again soon!

My partner and I visited Japan in February this year. We went to a lot of Michelin stared restaurants and enjoyed all of them, but Jean Georges came out on top and it doesn’t even have a Michelin star..
The detail they went to make our experience perfect was amazing. Down to them organising an English speaking chef to help with the Language barrier, catering to our special request of a dish and even helping us get a photo in front of the restaurant at the end.
The food was absolutely spectacular. We could not fault any dish.
We are heading to Japan again in November and we have already booked another visit.
Jean Georges Tokyo is easily the best restaurant we have ever been to in the world! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that’s in Japan.

My first impression of JG came when i was a student during the Covid lockdowns when i saw a video of him cooking food in the youtube series Mise en place.
Ever since then, I was mesmerised by his creations, consistency in the kitchen and the product.
So when i had the chance to come to JG tokyo, i knew i could trust them to host a celebratory dinner and know they would not dissapoint. They didn't.
Its hard to fault any dish on their menu. Their dishes are preparred with such consistency and near cooked to near perfection.
The trout and steak were cooked to near perfection in terms of texture and taste. The fish was not too flaky, nor was it too dry. It was just nice. The steak on the other hand was so tender.
The egg caviar signature truly taught me there is always a way to elevate a dish. Who knew a simple scambled egg and egg white could be elevated to that level.
Do come here to experience the dinner yourself. They have a tasting menu that changes monthly I believe.
One small point to note is that even though they are a international brand, the waiters and waitresses may not speak english very fluently here. Nevertheless they were still able to tell us about this dish despite the language barrier, so props to the wait staff for trying so hard!
