Jojoen Shinjuku Central East Exit Branch Review Summary

Great spot to get your meat (particularly beef) on. Lots of different cuts to choose from and then cook on the grill to your liking. Adds to the atmosphere and conversation cooking at the table. They have a nice selection of dips to choose from also which adds to the changing flavours. Good drink deals also, I smashed some Sake n Tonic drinks which were very much welcome and tasty.

No reservation. I waited tor less than 15 mins. Came here especially for lunch as it is much cheaper. It’s definitely value for money

I chose the cheapest set (3000 yen) that comes with a dessert and drink. Meat was flavourful. This is the best meal in Japan especially when it’s very economical in a really nice setting.

Very high-end bbq place. Well deserved its fame! Just over 8000 yen per person.

The atmosphere is gorgeous. The waiters are super responsive and professional, and there is a live harp player throughout the night.

Meats are marinated incredibly well. Best bbq i have had.
Thick cut beef tongue is my favorite. It could be tender and crispy at the same time!
the brisket has incredible marbling, and it could melt in your mouth.
The beef organ platter consists of stomach, liver and intestine. Order if you are organ lovers!
We also ordered seafood platter. The tiger shrimp and the lobster were both just alive. The sweetness, springiness and tenderness were all together!

They provided complementary ice cream in the end~

It's located in the same building as Zara but on the 7th Floor. It's a bit difficult to find the place but worth to try. Their Set Menu is pretty good deal to try most of their meat. I recommend Sundare-Cut Beef enjoy it with large portion of rice. The meat are amazing the side-dish just okay. I think the price is a little high compared to their portion size. I think I would agree if they put the price a bit high because of the fabulous ambience. Very fancy feeling. But I guess overall experience is 5 star experience! They provide English Menu too!

The meat quality is good, it’s both tender and delicious but the service just woaw not one of the person there could speak good english then they’re not polite. I thought Japanese people are friendly but after experiencing that kind of service in that kind of restaurant I was just in shock. And it’s not just our table the table beside us are also a foreigner and they also complained about the service here being bad. Overall I will give 2/5 for this place. I hope they can give a better experience eating there for other customers.
